Monika Killeen

Monika qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2004. She is proud of the fact that out of the 11 exams, she passed 9 with distinction. In May 2006 Monika joined Reynolds Dawson Solicitors, and in 2008 she became one of the first 7 Legal Executives in the United Kingdom to qualify as a Legal Executive Advocate.

Monika joined Reynolds Dawson with a wealth of experience in defending clients of all backgrounds from a variety of criminal allegations. In addition before joining Reynolds Dawson she had considerable experience of advocacy before Mental Health Tribunals. Monika is experienced in analysing complex documents and situations. She manages a case load of complex criminal litigation.

The majority of Monika’s clients are now professionals, and the criminal defence work is intertwined with defending officers accused of misconduct offences. Typically her case load varies from minor criminal offences, often with the risk of a major impact upon a career, to more serious criminal allegations such as serious assaults, causing death by dangerous driving, sexual assaults and offences concerning children. In addition she is experienced in dealing with “paper heavy” allegations such as money laundering, fraud, and misconduct in public office.
